Jason K. Berger is the founding partner of the firm and a former partner of McDermott Will & Emery LLP, one of the largest law firms in the world.

At McDermott, Mr. Berger advised private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, banks and private and public companies on debt and equity investments, “PIPES,” mergers and acquisitions, fund formation, secured lending and general corporate and securities law matters.  Previously, Mr. Berger was an associate in the private equity group of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP where he represented top tier private equity funds in leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions and mezzanine financing.  Mr. Berger also was a corporate associate of McDermott and of Kaye Scholer LLP.  At these firms, Mr. Berger represented clients including DLJ Merchant Banking, Lehman Brothers, Vivendi, Avaya, American Capital Strategies, Stairway Capital, Pegasus Partners and IDT Corporation.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Berger was an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the New York City Law Department’s Office of Legal Counsel, where he advised the office of Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani and other city officials, and served as Deputy General Counsel to the 1999 New York City Charter Revision Commission.

Mr. Berger received his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1996, a Masters Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, and a Bachelor of Arts from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1993.

Lynnette Santin-Lerner is a senior associate of the firm.

Ms. Santin-Lerner previously was an associate of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary LLP and of Thelen Reid & Priest LLP, where she represented investment funds and companies in equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, fund formation and general corporate law matters. Ms. Santin-Lerner received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Adina Heino is an associate of the firm.

Previously, Ms. Heino was an associate of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP.  Ms. Heino received her law degree from Columbia Law School in 1997 and a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College in 1994.

Matthew N. Klein is an associate of the firm.

Mr. Klein graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University where he was a member and an Associate Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.
